PRINCESS SALIMAH'S REPLY ON THE OCCASION OF PRIZE DISTRIBUTION FUNCTION (BABY SHOW) ON FEB. 5, 1970 AT HYDERABAD
Mr. Chairman, Members of Ismailia Health Committee,Ladies and Gentlemen, It was most kind of you all to have invited me to this function and I am very much looking forward to see your prize winning babies. It is clear that this Committee of voluntary workers has taken its duties very seriously and I know this will make Hazar Imam very happy, When I walk around the Health Centre shortly, I hope that it will meet the most exacting standards of hygiene and cleanliness and please always maintain these standards specially during the hot months of the year when disease hazards are at their greatest In Agricultural Sector it is also imperative that the Committee such as yours, should find ways of keeping in constant touch with outside villages, so that the main centres are always aware of the states of health in our families. Prevention is always better than cure. That is why Late Sultan Mohd. Shah encouraged the Jamat to start Health Centre wherever possible. By giving your babies milk, and watching the diets regularly you are making sure that our children have a good start in life. If they are healthy in their bodies, their minds will be healthy too and they will get the full benefits of our schools and when they grow up they will make efforts and work even harder. This way by safeguarding the future we are not only fulfilling the great Ismaili training of the Community's service, but are also laying a firm foundation for the next generation.
