LP HALLANDALE - Top U.S. colt Easy Goer, unbeaten English miler Zilzal and French-based Behara head a list of 83 thoroughbreds named Wednesday to run in Saturday's $10-million Breeders' Cup, the world's richest day of horse racing.

TX Easy Goer, top contender for North American Horse of the Year honors following eight wins in 10 starts this year, was made a 6-5 favorite among eight U.S. entries after drawing the inside post in the $3-million Classic, a 1 1/4-mile race on dirt that is the world's richest single event. His main challenge is expected to come from Sunday Silence, the 2-1 second favorite on the outside post who upset Easy Goer in the Kentucky Derby and edged him by a nose in the Preakness Stakes. In their last duel in June, Easy Goer got his revenge with an eight-length romp in the Belmont Stakes to spoil Sunday Silence's bid for the Triple Crown. Zilzal, an unbeaten 3-year-old son of Nureyev trained by England's Michael Stoute, was installed as 9-5 favorite in the $1-million Mile after drawing the 10th post in a field of 13. The British-bred American-based handicap horse Steinlen, second favorite at 4-1, drew the No. 2 post. * French-based Behara, an Irish-bred filly owned by the Aga Khan, leads the European contingent for the $2-million Turf, a 1 1/2-mile event in which American handicap horse El Senior is a slight 3-1
