TRANN TRANN VED NA DHEE-AAVO MUNEEVARBHAAI

trann trann ved na dhee-aavo muneevar bhaai
     kaayare khovo purav janam nee kamaai jee.....................1

Do not follow the teachings of the three (previous) scriptures 
(which are redundant), o brother believers. By being timid, why 
do you lose the good earnings of the past lives (which have 
enabled you to attain this exalted path)?


ejee ek karee sarevo ne geenaan veechaaro
     jeetyaa jeetyaa daa kaa(n)i tame haarojee....................2

Worship (this path) with unwavering mind and reflect upon the 
"geenaans". Why do you spill over that which you have won 
over and over (through much difficulty).


ejee paranneeyaa meleene parharee jaay
     be imaanee jeev bahest na paa-ejee...........................3

The one who abondons that object of marriage (the Imaam) and 
goes away (from the Lord). Such a faithless person does not 
attain the heavens or paradise.

kaayar - timid; tired     chhaa(n)ddee - quit; kept refuse
maa(n)ddee - began, arranged

ejee kharee kharee vellaa maa(n)he ramat maa(n)ddee
     kaayar bhaagaa te sat-j chhaa(n)ddee jee.....................4

In the real and rightful era He has began His (mysterious) plays. 
The timid or the cowards have left and quit the truth completely.


ejee janam dohaagann hotee naaree
     dev duneeyaa maa(n)he hui aveechaaree jee....................5

The woman (soul) that is unmarried for the whole life is the one 
who is thoughtless about the Lord.


ejee chaare chaare jugamaa(n) dohaagann hotee
     jene satgur meeleeyaa e suhaagann soheejee...................6

Over and over in the four eras the souls remain unmarried. 
The ones  who have attained the True Guide are in truth the married ones.


ejee paa(n)ch meeleene veem ras keeje
     kharaa mottaa ratan parakheene leeje jee.....................7

Adopt the five virtues viz. rememberance, truth, patience, faith and 
abstinence OR shun the five vices viz. lust, anger, greed, attraction 
for the world and pride, and perform religious conversations. 
Take the real and the great jewels ("gnaans") having evaluated them.


ejee daavo kare te deen na paave
     mukar munaafak dojakhe jaave jee.............................8

mukar - heathen, not adhering to a religious system, unenlightened
munaafak - hypocrite

The one who opposes (the teachings of the "geenaans") does not 
attain the religion. The unenlightened and the hypocrites go to hell.


ejee saach na bole ne jutth na mele
     jem jem see(n)gaddee-e tutte chhe veljee.....................9
see(n)g - bean; pod          vel - creeper

The one who does not speak the Truth and does not abondon the 
false is like a creeper breaking into a bean pod.


ejee juttheere meejalas jutthaare maleeyaa
      beimaanee jeev bahestathee ttalleeyaajee...................10

In the false meeting the false ones have met. The faithless ones 
have strayed away from the heaven (paradise).


ejee aad unnaade aa satpa(n)th saacho
     enne pa(n)the chaddee koi na valleeyo paachhojee............11

Since the beginning and indeed the pre-eternity this religion is the true one. 
Anyone who has travelled upon this path has not returned.


ejee guru geenaan ved vaa-eke chaalo
     saache mane srevo to vaiku(n)tth maalo jee..................12

Conduct yourselves according to the "Geenaans" of the Guide and
teachings of the scriptures. And then if you worship with a truthful heart, 
you will enjoy the paradise.


ejee saache mane bhagataai keeje
     to vaiku(n)tth fall amaraapuree leeje jee...................13

Perform piety with conviction, then you will obtain the fruits of paradise 
and the eternal abode.


ejee sat keereeyaa saach-j bolo
     to gurugat maa(n)he jai aapaj bolojee.......................14

Speak or utter only the truth while performing the true rites and 
ceremonies and while attending the gathering of the Guide and 
the congregation ("gurugat"), speak only to yourselves (silently).


ejee purush naareenu(n) ek chhe dharam
     karo khameeyaa to na laage karam jee........................15

There is only one religion for the husband and wife. So have patience 
(in the context of your relationship) and you will not feel the impact 
(burden) of your duties towards one another.


ejee iyaa tame desho to aagall lesho
     naheekaa shukareet veenaa zuree zuree marasho jee...........16
If you give here, you will receive there, otherwise without good deeds 
you will die while continuously repenting.


ejee vellaa chhe veekhaddee ne samar lejo
     neet neet gatmaa(n)he jai ameeras peejojee..................17

The times ahead will be difficult, therefore take adequate provision 
(to sustain you then). (This will be available to you) if you go to 
Jamaat Khaanaa and partake in the "ameeras" (which is "abesafaa"
 the holy water OR the "ginaans" the water of life).


ejee neermal man karee deeje daan
     zeekar jaagee keeje utam kaamjee............................18

Having purified your minds (hearts) submit the charity and remain 
awake to remembrance hence perform the exalted deed.


ejee aagam gurujee-e bataayaa bhed
     fal chhe aana(n)d karone umed-jee...........................19

The Guide has shown you the inner mysteries in advance. 
The fruits (of worship) are joy and bliss and therefore be hopeful about getting them.


ejee athar ved bole e prabhu saachaa
     fal chhe paakaa(n) pann deese chhe kaachaa(n)jee............20

The fourth scripture (the Holy Qur'aan) is spoken by the True Guide. 
The fruits are indeed ripe (sweet in essence) but are perceived as raw (bitter outwardly).


ejee bhanne sayyed imaamshaah veela(m)b na keeje
     paake fale amraapuree leeje jee.............................21

Sayyed Imaam Shah teaches you not to procrastinate (in your religious duties).
You will then attain the eternal abode through having the ripened fruits 
(maturity of worship by virtue of the experience of love and blissful states).
