SATGUR SAATHE GOTTHADDEE KEEJE

BY PEER SADARDEEN

Oh loved one, have hearty conversations with the True Guide

and drink the holy water (water of life - mercy- geenaans) every day.

The Lord, the Master is seated having kindled the Light. Then worship

(Him) in a loving manner.

Oh loved one, the Lord has arrived at my courtyard (doorstep) and has

brought along with Him countless crores of spirits and has brought

good news for the fourteen universes.

jeere vaalaa janamo janam nee dohaagann hotee

te sohaagann keedhee chhe saamee - re vaalaa

             evaa malee-aa chhe a(n)tar jaamee - re vaalaa........2

Oh loved ones, for many births I have been in an unmarried state,

and the Lord has now married me (by coming to visit me, or by entering my heart).

He has freed me from the cycles of eighty four lakh births and rebirths. Such is the

knower of my heart (interior), whom I have attained.

jeere vaalaa aad neera(n)jan agam agochar

navshaah naam dharaavyaa - re vaalaa

             hu(n) baleehaaree te satgur nee

je am gher saamee bhale aavyaa - re vaalaa...........3

Oh loved ones, in the very beginning, the Lord was unknowable,

mysterious and imperceptible. He then assumed the name (form) of the

bridegroom (navshaah). I have sacrificed myself for this True Guide,

whose arival to my home, I hail.

jeere vaalaa dev jugatmaa(n) me pari bhram deetthaa

             janamo janamanee sharannaagat raakhee

te aveechal pad mugataai - re vaalaa.................4

In the world of spirits, I witness Him, as the Supreme Lord.

He indeed is the True Guide, the Imaam. He has accepted my surrender

and submission of many births and has bestowed the everlasting

exalted rank of freedom.

jeere vaalaa pad mugateenaa sarave saadh leennaa(n)

to sat cheet aana(n)d - re vaalaa

kahe gur sohodev amane sree haree maleeyaa

jem saritaa saayar maa(n)he samaannee - re vaalaa....5

Oh loved ones, all the saints (devoted souls) will attain the exalted

rank of freedom which contains the experience of the Truth,

Consciousness and Joy (sat chit anand). The Guide Sohdev

(Peer Sadardeen) says: "we have attained the Lord in the manner

of small rivers meeting and blending with the ocean".

[The state of sat chit anand is the one in which the truth,

consciousness or faith and anand occur simultaneously.

Joy accompanies true faith and is indeed the sign of true faith.

One cannot have one without the other.]
