I've walked the streets of sadness
with tears filling the gutters

I've flown over miles of loneliness
and landed on fields of pain

I've swam across rivers of darkness
and been washed ashore islands of fear

5. A prayer to Mowla
Mowla, hear the echoes of my heart
as I sit alone at night
I hold my tasbih close to me
hoping to see Your Light

Sometimes I cry, because I think I'm lost
and my body is full of fear
But the I hear that little whisper,
"Don't worry, I'm Here..."

Show me how to restore my sight
and remember we are a team
hold my hand through the darkness
onto Your Path of Sirat-al-Mustaqim

Let me smell the roses from Your
Beautiful Garden
and feel the soft breeze on my cheek
Everytime I sit inBandagi, this is all I truly seek

Only You can dry away my tears,
and make me smile for real
only You can come to rescue me
only You know how I feel.

6. This Journey of mine...
This journey of mine is mostly uphill..
far into the trees..
Sometimes it's been cold and dark,
yet I feel so immensely free...

For my tears have watered Your garden
and my anger has been absorbed by Your soil
You are my Sacred Friend..
The One who has always been Loyal

You've heard the silence of my voice
and felt my inner pain
You've seen the deep footprints I've left behind
and You've helped carry my heavy chains...

I've walked hundreds of miles outside,
and even more miles within
I've meditated at the grandfather tree...
Well...you know where I've been...
