We hope that these philosophical lectures and the adventurous life of this Grand Missionary who devoted everything that he could call his own to Ismaili faith, will prove interesting and instructive for the Ismaili readers.
It is a matter of sorrow to note that a Missionary of Al-Muayyad's eminence who had played a great part in the intellectual development of the Islamic thought in the fourth and the fifth century of Hijra, should have been ignored by most of the great historians of his period and of the succeeding generations. Had he himself not written his own life, we would have not come to have a thorough knowledge of this great intellectualpersonality and a Missionary of such a high achievement
The book, therefore, sees the light for the first time.
