The bank will deal in savings and granting credits to individuals, financial groups and especially needy families and other sections of the population. The bank's headquarters will be situated in Dushanbe. The bank will have branches in the provinces, primarily in distant regions and those isolated from the centre. If there is no opportunity of opening branches in the localities the bank will provided services to its customers via mobile communications.
According to Jacques Turem, the bank's task is to use innovative approaches in serving its customers. Its opening is expected at the end of this year, a Khovar news agency correspondent says.
The meeting was also attended by the permanent representative of the Aga Khan Development Network to Tajikistan, Hakem Feeresta, and the executive director of the Aga Khan Foundation in Tajikistan, (?Mirza Jahani).
