"Ali goyam, Ali joyam" means "I say Ali, I search Ali". I will find the entire Qasida and post it's translation. Stay tuned. Glad you showed interest in Farsi Qasida.

I am still searching if i can find it with translation in english. But, it is Farsi. Where i am, this Qasida is recited very frequently, by Farsi speaking jama'ati. May be at your local Jama'atkhan there are not (many) farsi speaking Jama'ati, that's why?

I think this is the qasida u r looking for...

Ba ruz o shab man-e shaida
Ali Guyam, Ali Joyam
Ba bagh o gulshan-o sahra
Ali Guyam, Ali Joyam …1

Day and night in my intoxicated heart
I call Ali, I seek Ali
In the orchard, rose gardens and desert
I call Ali, I seek Ali

Ali ruh o ravan-i man
Ali aram-i jan-i man
Ali zikr-i zaban-i man
Ali Guyam, Ali Joyam …2

Ali is my soul and life
Ali is the repose of my heart
At every moment my tongue recites Ali
I call Ali, I seek Ali

Ali Sultan-i mulk-i jan
Ali Shahan-Shah-i khuban
Ali Aineh-ye yazdan
Ali Guyam, Ali Joyam …3

Ali is the ruler of the kingdom of the soul
Ali is the emperor of the good
Ali is the mirror of god
I call Ali, I seek Ali

Ali Hallal-e mushkilha
Ali sultan o shah-e dil
Ali bashad be haq wasil
Ali Guyam, Ali Joyam …4

Ali is the solver of difficulties
Ali is the king and ruler of the heart
Ali is connected to reality
I call Ali, I seek Ali

Ali haydar Ali Safdar
Ali munis Ali dilbar
Ali bud yar-e paigambar
Ali Guyam, Ali Joyam …5

Ali the brave, Ali the hero
Ali the companion, Ali the beloved
Ali the friend of the prophet
I call Ali, I seek Ali

Ali awal Ali akhir
Ali batin Ali zahir
Ali bahir Ali tahir
Ali Guyam, Ali Joyam …6

Ali the first, Ali the last
Ali the batin (spiritually present), Ali the zahir (physically present)
Ali the pure, Ali the zahir
I call Ali, I seek Ali

Ali Mirat-e zat-e haqq
Ze ala nam-e u mushtaq
Bavad zatash be haqq mulhak
Ali Guyam, Ali Joyam …7

Ali is the mirror of the essence of reality
From above comes his name
His essence is joined withreality
I call Ali, I seek Ali

Bavad mihr-e Ali dinam
Tariq o fikr o Ainam
Furugh-e qalb-e gamkinam
Ali Guyam, Ali Joyam …8

Love for Ali is my religion
He is my path, my thought, my faith
The shinning light of my sad heart
I call Ali, I seek Ali

Zi ishq-I u shudam sabir
Be ru-ye u shudam nazir
Zaban as wasf-e u kasir
Ali Guyam, Ali Joyam …9

From his love, I have become patient
I have seen his face
The tongue cannot describe him
I call Ali, I seek Ali

In Montreal, we are blessed with a very international Jamat, maybe 80% are Afghans and Badakshanis, though we have Syrians and Iranian Ismailis also.

We hear this Qasida very often by man and woman and it is very soothing. The words are very simple for all Ismailis to understand most of it, whatever their linguistic background.

To Shiraz :Ya Ali Madad.

This post has started in pleasant n blessed note.

How does one feel:
If you can dial ALI with one digit (HOTLINE)
Rather than Vedic 12 digits. numbers

You n Admin have expressed your feelings in other ways.

THAT IS THE PRECISE BEAUTY OF MANY QASIDAS.

JAB SUNEE MEH 'ALI' PE DIL AA JATA HAI.
USHE DIL SE SAMAJ NE SAY,'ALI' DIKH BHI JAYEGA EK DIN ZAROOR.

Bol means "Isme-Azam."

Yes I know that he has given Bol to Ismailis of other tradition in 1992 in Montreal. I am not aware that they were exempted. But for sure they are given Bol and even today when Imam gives Bol, he does not make distinction.

I know of one instence when SMS refused to give Bol to a Khoja which had progrssed a lot in Bandagi. The same Khoja went then many years later to take Bol from Hazar Imam and Hazar Imam said "I have already told you that I will not give you the Bol", so the person had to leave the BK Hall without receiving the Bol once again.

Now this is the end of discussion on this subject. As far as we discuss who can get it it is OK but I do not want to see anything here to do with the Bol itself. If people have their personal experience, let them keep it for themselves.
