yaa ali madad,
well i m not aware of any ismaili director in bollywood , yes there are many ismaili producer producing the film---and there r many ismaili people acting in serial, drama, and in low budget bollywood movie, there r cemeraman,asst director---in bollywood. |

well i havn,t heard of alok nath, yes dimple kapadia was ismaili....!well about producer their r many.......!!! mail me personally i will give u some list...... |

I would like to know about Ismaili Tv Actors If there are any ?[Of India only]. I have heard about a lot but there are many rumours also. Like some times back there was rumour that Sujal of Kahin to hoga serial of Star plus is Ismaili, however I dont think so it it is clear from his real name i.e, Rajeev Khandelwal that he is hindu. I have also heard that Farida Jalal is Ismaili..
Can you tell me about Ismaili Indian TV actors and also from where you got to know about it? |

F. Varini (although not an actor but may be a director)
Not too long ago I watched Van Wilder (movie) which gave me some insights of the Indian Culture and that got me to watch: Bend It Like Beckham, most recently the Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle and also Dude where is the Party? From these I have been able to understand things that I was a bit lost on why poeple(JK poeple) act the way they do.
Thats besides the point I think Dude where is the Party? movie was either produced or co-drirected by Varini.
I'll find out his first name and update this post. |

The Morani Brothers are Ismailies.
Ali, Karim & Mohamed have produced Raja Hindustani and DUM.
They are also producers and managers of the star shows that come to N. America. |

| The recent movie that I had picked-up was "Touch of Pink” it was about an Ismaili Family (not sure if it was a true story). But it may be that last movie (English-Indian) I dare to watch next time, it grossed me out; not the Ismaili parts but the alternative lifestyles that were depicted. |

I think that director could have been Ismail Merchant. He has died recently at the age of 72. |

Ismail Merchant of Merchant Ivory production company was not an ismaili either, sorry  |
