I beg to differ !
To be 'spiritual' is to think, act and interact from an awareness of self as .
Frankly all this that I do see occuring may have actually helped many strengthen their conviction and belief in the The Imam of the Ismailis !
This historic situation which remains unprecedented, may have actually glorified Ismaili Islam and their Imam as per a Prophetic prediction !
PRINCE KARIM AGA KHAN AL-HUSAINI has shown consistently that he is endowed with wisdom, versatility, sagacity and statesmanship which are characteristics of his great and noble family !
In this fast changing and kaleidoscopic conditions of our world, the AGA KHAN has not only guided his small but vibrant flock effectively in regards to the socio-economic activities but he has successfully been able to render immense material assistance to young nations and in consequence he has helped advance the well being, prosperity and the stability of the peoples of these countries and the leadership that listens to this great Imam are enjoying the fruits of their own success and those who are chasing their own tails, are suffering their own karma....The Imam is indeed a great and bold champion of Islam ! what he says and utters carry different layers...it may not necessarily be considered "divine" guidance for those who do not follow him as their Imami e Mubeen or Murshid e Kamil !
And so for some what he says may also be an opinion, if you will ! depends on how each knows and understands him and maintains his or her spiritual relationship with him...depth of it's epiphanic levels and syncronization.....anyone who pursues the Imam from a worldly or material perspective is an idol worshipper....
In reality and despite the protestations of the ignorant and the gullible, nothing is at stake...
The Farameen are NOT "divine" guidance for all and sundry as explained hereinabove....those who love pebbles will hold pebbles ! Those who love pearls will obviously find pearls and will not settle for anything less !
Allah guides unto HIS Noor whomsoever HE Wills.......The path of Sirat is not just One...if this was the case then Allah would NOT have commanded us to Remember HIm so that HE the Exalted can show us the Right Path and i.e. the path of those upon whom HE has bestowed HIS favours !....
Intelligence is to use what you know in the right way at the right time in the right place with the right intention.
If you go through the teachings of the ismaili Imams, one will easily notice that every word they speak is full of wisdom and if one listens to their teachings, he will sit in wonderment because of their spiritual profundity...
And yet it will not touch all hearts of the deaf, dumb and the blind... as Allah has sealed many hearts due to there being sickness in them...
In this saga, there is no question of defeat or victory....it is now time for "recognition" !
Anyone who dies without "recognizing" his or her Imam of the time and age, dies the death of a pervert or an infidel !....all else that one may see happening is merely the by product of such facilitation...ofcourse one may always be physically close to the Imam and yet not recognize him in his true luminous light ...it is a different subject altogether...
Spirituality is to ‘know’ who you are and Spiritual Intelligence is to ‘realise’ who you are and to live life in that awareness.
Western writers have portrayed Islam as a Cult and the Prophet as a magician and duplicator of the Judeo-Christian scripture.....all this will change at some point in time.....through the effort of the Ismaili Imamat !
Allah says...
" They intend that they put out the Light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah disdains (aught) save that HE Keeps PERFECT HIS LIGHT, however much the disbelievers (Moosaji's and the Maherally's of our time), are averse...."
Spiritual intelligence expands your capacity to understand others at the deepest level.
Spiritual understanding allows you to discern the ‘true cause’ of behaviour but without judgement !
One can always been who you are and, in truth, he or she can never be other than who they are, but it requires ‘realisation’ i.e. that moment when you ‘see it’, when you ‘get it’ and then you ‘be it’.
