restoration of Almaut

Post by azamour »

hi i was wondering what is your opinion about idea of restoration of Almaut. What are the social, economic, or political obstacles involved?. All Ismailis know that there is great signifacance of Almaut period in our history. Obviously much more than Baltit Fort and many others.
You know i hate to see the picture of Almaut that we see in following link
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Alamoot.jpg

Or is it just that its conditions has deteriorated beyond the point where it can ever be improved or restored? In that case cant there be a memorial or landmark of somekind created.

Or Is it just the fact that selection criteria is Islamic Architecture and not the historic significances?.
ill appreciate your replies.

Maybe it is beyond repairs.

Meanwhile another Alamut has been built in Gouvieux, France and is better known by its French name Aigle Mont.
