Maybe Prince Rahim will go, because there is no source other than Chitral Today news confirming that Hazar Imam will be in Chitral in October.

The First visit & Deedar has been announced for October

Post by mahebubchatur »

LIF the communities constitutional body has made the following announcement today

"ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE ISMAILI LEADERS’ INTERNATIONAL FORUM
Our beloved Mawlana Hazar Imam has authorised the Ismaili Leaders’ International Forum (LIF) to inform the Jamat formally that, responding to invitations from the respective Governments, he will visit Uganda and Tanzania in October 2017.
At this time, alongside engaging with activities relating to the initiatives of the Imamat and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), Mawlana Hazar Imam will grant Diamond Jubilee Darbars to the respective Uganda and Tanzania Jamats on dates to be confirmed.
Mawlana Hazar Imam has recommended that, in as far as possible, large Jamati gatherings should be avoided in the organisation and conduct of these Imamat visits.
Furthermore, due to limited logistical capacity, the host Jamats will find it difficult to handle the challenge of additional numbers of people.
In view of these considerations, access to the Jubilee Darbars will be restricted to the jurisdiction Jamats and, therefore, members from external Jamats are respectfully requested to refrain from travelling to Uganda or Tanzania in the expectation of being able to participate.
As the Jamat has been informed previously, Mawlana Hazar Imam will continue to grant further Jubilee visits to as many Jamats as possible during the Jubilee year.
The LIF and all Jamati institutions, and Mukhis, Kamadias, Mukhianis and Kamadianis convey a warm Mubarak to the Jamat on the commencement of the cycle of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s Diamond Jubilee visits.

Diamond Jubilee Darbar to be held at Darkhana Kampala

Today, 10 October 2017, Mawlana Hazar Imam is expected to grace the Jamat in Uganda with the first Darbar of his Diamond Jubilee year, at the historic location of the Kampala Darkhana.

The Darkhana building dates back to July 1936, when the foundation stone was laid in an area of Kampala where a large number of Ismailis from South Asia had begun to settle, seeking economic opportunity in East Africa. Upon Hazar Imam’s ascension to the Imamat in 1957, Ismailis around the world commemorated his installation as the Imam (Takht Nashini) in various countries, including Uganda. In October 1957, a Takht Nashini ceremony was held on the grounds of Darkhana, Kampala; the memory of which has remained in the hearts of all who attended.

The Diamond Jubilee Hall, a multi-purpose facility serving as an extension, was donated and opened soon after. Built to commemorate Mawlana Sultan Mahomed Shah’s Diamond Jubilee, the hall still stands today, echoing the continuity of Imamat, as we celebrate Mawlana Hazar Imam’s Diamond Jubilee.

The exodus of Asians in the 1970s led to the building being unused for many years, until the Ugandan Jamat re-entered Darkhana in 1990. Shortly thereafter, Hazar Imam graced a steadily growing Ugandan Jamat with Deedar in 1992 — the first since the 1970’s — once again held inside the Jamatkhana at Darkhana, which stood as an emblem of the Jamat’s heritage and resilience. The Imam’s Golden Jubilee Darbar in 2007, and subsequent Deedar in 2011 were also held there.

The Darkhana Kampala is symbolic of the Jamat’s long history in East Africa, a history characterised by enterprise, continuity, turbulence, and resilience. Today, at Darkhana, the Ugandan Jamat will be graced with the first Darbar of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s Diamond Jubilee year, where a new set of memories will be made and cherished for years to come.

2017, October 10th - Kampala, Uganda

On his way to the Darbar Hall, Mowlana Hazar Imam opened the window of his car and waved and blessed his International Jamat standing on the road, the first direct blessing to the international Jamat on the occasion of his Diamond Jubilee.

He subsequently gave Didar to his Uganda Jamat. Lets remind the Uganda Jamat that in 2011, our Imam had told them that they should welcome the international Jamat from all the countries as we are "One Jamat". This time Imam-e-Zaman gave them Duas for Unity.

Didar Testimony as received:

From a friend in Kampala

Mubaraki everyone!
Have just returned to Entebbe having had Deedar earlier.

Hazar Imam was very happy. Hazar Imam told Mukhi several times that he was very happy.
He talked of the importance of:
Peace
Good health
Education
Unity

Hazar Imam also talked of the use of intellect and the importance of it. He was very happy with the honor the govt gave him. Hazar Imam stood up 4 times to give his best special blessings to everyone and all their families abroad. He said we could all go out and clog up the Ugandan telecommunications service and let all our families know that Hazar Imam was giving his special special best blessings.

He was very happy. He entered through the doors at the back instead of the front and also liked the flowers arranged.

I thought of everyone everywhere. I did not see any foreigners in khane. Khane seats about 3000 and everyone sat comfortably, I don’t think there was a crowded spot anywhere. I saw some people outside who said they weren’t allowed as they were not from Uganda! I thought everything seemed very organized overall. A very good feeling indeed!!

I was not in Kampala and I am not in Dar es Salaam, I may be zidi but you are full of jealousy and your information about where I am is plain wrong.

Mubarak to the International Jamat who listened to Imam's calling and not to LIF announcements.

More testimonies coming:

As received from Tanzania

At the aéroport, most of the jamat was asked to Line allong the road and MHI wave at them from the car

But the other part of the jamat like us remained near the entrance of the main exit of airport. MHI dis not follow the carpet to VIP louange, instead bifurcated and enter by the door of main lobby where we where standing and waved to us and passed very near from us. And he came back from the same door before entering the car, so we where lucky to have twice the Didar.
Shuker.

Just received. Compare with the kind of positive testimonies received for the previous Golden Jubilee.

---------------------

Now this is what happened:

The visiting murids were given hope (all precontrived) that perhaps they would be able to participate in the darbaar. They should report to the Aga Khan School at the earliest on the 10th of October. Who would not go?

Over 500 eager murids from outside Uganda flocked to the school as instructed, dressed for darbaar, hearts full of prayer, eyes full of hope and gratitude. Little did they know that this was a ruse to entrap them at the school so that they would not gather at the Kampala Serena Hotel or in or around the Jamatkhana.

A vile smelling kitchen was designated the holding room, where these murids were trapped for over 6 hours. It was hot and sultry, no A/C. The chairs were tightly packed together. Surely, all the makings of a prison camp.

Yes, water was offered at regular intervals. But that was about it.

Amongst these murids were some great-grandmothers, grandmothers, tired and ill-looking grandfathers, many on wheelchairs and crutches, having made the supreme effort to travel this far to have one last memorable darbaar with their beloved Imam before the end of their physical lives.

Such buzurg and all other visitors were kept in that vile smelly hot kitchen for the whole morning. The old ladies were crying voluminously. One old man nearly collapsed. But the volunteers guarding them had no regard for all this because after all this group of people had 'gone against the wishes of Hazar Imam by coming here' and so they deserved such treatment.

Finally, when the news arrived that Hazar Imam was to leave the hotel for the darbaar hall at 330pm, an announcement was made that Hazar Imam had refused I.e. Not granted the permission for the visiting murids to be taken to the jamatkhana for the darbaar. Instead, they were all led outside the school to line up on the curb alongside the road and were told they could wave at the Imam's motorcade which would pass by shortly.

So this is actually what happened with the visiting Jamat and these could not have been our beloved Hazar Imam's instructions. In fact, I am 100% sure all this was an LIF endeavour and Hazar Imam's name was used in vain.

In fact, I could clearly see that Hazar Imam did not wish for this to happen and I base my statement on the following:

1. The day, 10th of October, dawned with dark skies, thunderstorms and heavy rain. The Universe was sombre, giving advanced warning of the pain that was about to be inflicted on unsuspecting murids.

2. In the hotel, as the Imam exited for the darbaar, He waved and blessed the few murids who had gathered there, having had the foresight not to fall into the trap at the school.
The Imam was smiling from ear to ear at these murids and gave many of them personal nods and acknowledgements.

3. The motorcade of Beloved Hazar Imam slowed down considerably at the Aga Khan School. And Imam put down His window, literally, and smiled and waved and blessed the murids by the roadside.

Now let us think for a moment here:

Would the Imam have done so just moments after giving instructions that the same murids should not be taken to the darbaar hall?

Would the Imam have done so if these murids have truly been guilty of going against Hazar Imam's firmans?

This magnificent gesture by our beloved Imam clearly indicates that the Imam did not approve of the LIF decision. He felt the pain and the suffering of the visiting murids and He tried to alleviate their moods by putting down His window, which is a very rare occurrence, and bestowing them with His Noorani Deedar. The Imam did so both times - before going to the darbaar hall and after exiting from the darbaar hall.

4. By all accounts, the Imam's mood in the darbaar hall was sombre. The only jovial moment was when the Imam remembered the international Jamat and asked for His blessings to be conveyed to them and the urgency of this was emphasised by the Imam that these blessings must be conveyed, giving them the go ahead to clog up Uganda telecommunications.

After Mowla's motorcade had left the darbaar hall and passed the roadside murids then the volunteers are saying mubaraki to these murids. And then they are inviting them to come to jamatkhana in the evening and partake in biryani and dandia raas. What hypocrisy!

And for all this, the President of the Council for Uganda and the Council of Uganda is responsible!

Sure, you had to follow LIF instructions in order to maintain your positions. But you certainly did not have to behave like nazis towards the visiting Jamat. You have disgraced our community by making these murids stand on the roadside in full view of street vendors, boda boda drivers and the public at large, many of whom were gawking at the hollering old ladies and wondering what was happening.

You turned the Inaugural Diamond Jubilee into a messy public spectacle!!

Mawlana Hazar Imam graces Uganda Jamat with Darbar

Mawlana Hazar Imam met with the Ugandan Jamat on the historic occasion of his Diamond Jubilee visit to Uganda.

The Jamat gathered at Darkhana Kampala on 10 October for the first Darbar of the Diamond Jubilee year. President Minaz Jamal submitted pledges of loyalty to Mawlana Hazar Imam on behalf of the Jamat present, along with the gift of an enamel portrait of Fateh Ali Shah. The portrait is of direct relevance to the family history of Hazar Imam, as it was Fateh Ali Shah — at the time of his reign as Qajar king — who bestowed the title of Aga Khan on the 46th Ismaili Imam, Hasan Ali Shah.

Mawlana Hazar Imam gave guidance to the Jamat gathered, and bestowed blessings for the global Jamat. Shortly before leaving, Hazar Imam met with the Ugandan Jamati institutional leadership, and greeted the volunteers who bid him farewell. Upon his departure from Darkhana, Hazar Imam drove past the Aga Khan School, Kampala, where members of the Jamat who had travelled from outside Uganda had assembled.

Commemorating the momentous occasion, the Jamat came together to congratulate each other and celebrate the event, which will long live in the memory of all who were present.

Only some murids from the international Jamat could make it inside the didar hall, those who had contacts with the leaders. The remaining of the murids from international Jamat (called "foreigners"), about 700 of them had didar in the street when Hazar Imam's car passed.

Soon testimonies and gist of Farman will be available to the Jamat.

The Tanzanian Jamat gathered in Dar es Salaam on 12 October for the historic occasion of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s Diamond Jubilee Darbar.

President Amin Lakhani submitted pledges of loyalty to Mawlana Hazar Imam on behalf of the Jamat of the Tanzanian jurisdiction. A gift of eight Fatimid coins minted in Al Mahdia for the first eight Fatimid Imams was also presented to Hazar Imam by the Jamat. Mawlana Hazar Imam gave guidance to the Jamat who were in attendance and conveyed blessings for the global Jamat.

The Darbar was held at the Aga Khan Diamond Jubilee Hall in Dar es Salaam. The unique history of the Aga Khan Diamond Jubilee Hall stems from the Diamond Jubilee of Mawlana Sultan Mahomed Shah. The land was acquired using the Nazrana presented to him in 1946. The hall is used as a sports centre and a social venue for congregational activities. It has also served as the location for numerous Deedars.

On his departure, Mawlana Hazar Imam drove nearby to Upanga Jamatkhana, where members of the Jamat who had travelled from outside Tanzania were assembled. After bidding farewell to Hazar Imam, the Jamat celebrated the momentous occasion together long into the evening.
