These are not practices but steps of spiritual growth and progress.

Shariat you know, all external practices
Tariqat is the way
Haqiqat is the truth ad
Marifat is the Gnosis.

There are lots of discussions on this Forum to explain these issues, just do a search, all your questions have already been answered somewhere, lets just not repeat the same all over again

A verse of the Ginan Bhamar Gufa Upar Dekha(n)ta states:

ejee shareeat hak karee jaannee-e, to turat tareekat paae;
hakeekat dil maa(n)e nakasee-e, to maaraphate milee jaae.....3

Which translates as

If one realizes the truth of the Law, one immediately discovers the Way. If Reality is imprinted on the heart, in Gnosis one is united.

Variant meaning:

The Shariat, if thou takest it to be true, readily, the Tarikat
attain shalt thou; the Haqiqat in (thy) heart engravest if thou,
the Marifat achieve shalt thou. ...3

When one accepts the Sharia which includes correct doctrine and principles of faith, one attains the Tariqa (Way). As one progresses on the Way, the Haqiqat is inprinted in heart or one attends the mysteries of the Reality. In the Haqiqati state, one is ready for the Marifat (Gnosis) which happens through the Grace.

in this ginan "tum chet ta man mera"the pir tells about these four practices-

ejee gat maa(n)he meelo neeto neet, paheleeye maano shareeyat
tareekat aur hakeekat, maarfat me(n) manku(n) maar
tum chet man meraa...........................................7

Meet in the congregation(of Jamaatkhaanaa) everyday. As a first principle believe in the 'Sharia'(aim, principles and doctrines of faith). Then follow the way or the method(Tariqah) and then internalise the inner mysteries(truths)(Haqiqah) as attained on the Path. Attaining the gnosis(Maarifah, ultimate knowledge and certainty) hence, kill or destroy your (lower)mind including it's desires

I absolutely agree with Kmeherally. I my opinion its like a ladder, you progress one step after another. After successful in practices in each of these steps you go on to the next one.

In my opinion haqiqat is when a persons is awake and he sees this world as just a passing thing and nothing but an illusion.

Sorry, I cannot edit my post!

It should read as 'attains the mysteries' and not 'attend the mysteries'..

Great Explaination! Also, here is an interesting verse from the ginan Moman Tchetamni. Just something to look over.

9) Eji Farad Furqane thi upanya,
Teto parvariya pirothami mahain,
Shariyat, tariqat, haqiqat, teni,
Malum che marifat mahain. Cheto.....

9. The Quran has given you the basic understanding of Shariat,
Tariqat and Haqiqat - it is up
to you now to search for Marifat.

Ismā‘īlī Gnosis
"The Ismā‘īlīsm which, during the tenth and eleventh centuries of our era, pioneered the most daring metaphysical thought in Islam… Its voice, at once original and traditional, should be heard again today—a task of which it seems that the young Ismā‘īlīs are aware." (Henry Corbin)

I am putting it 3 different ways:
shariat is common sense
tariqat is rational sense
haqiqat is intelligance
Marifat is gnosis(fanafiallah)

observing ImaM at
shariat is as Khalifa
tariqat as Imam
haqiqat is r Imaan (as God)
marfat is living in him n unifyng your thoughts with him(asal mubarak me wasal) .
at Zikr level.
shariat is allah n rasool.
tariqat is allah,rasool n ALI.
Haqiqat is ALI allah
Marifat is ali ali
