I read the article on the meaning of dua niyat kher and it was v. informative. I am wondering why we don't say it on fridays or when ghat pat is on. Can you help me. |

I would like to correct you Mr. kmaherali..
It is not correct to say that its not spoken bcoz its lengthy.
The real meaning behind ot saying it as follows:
When you say 'DUA-NIYAT KHER KARIYE'...
you end that KRIYA there itself.
In order to keep the KRIYA continous it is not said.
This is what i was taught when i used to go to DHARMICK NIGHT SCHOOL in JK.
The reason behind the continuation is not know to me but it is not said for continuation that is SURE.

| Dua Niyat Khair is not offered on Fridays because... it signifies ending a prayer. On friday.. the first prayer we offer actually starts even b4 asha jee and ends after the nandi is over therefore it ends after the nandi and all is over and then only we recite dua niyat khair. Mostly people dont stay back till then. |
