How are the pirs related? && A few other Pir questio

Post by prince_visram »

All I know is Pir Sadardin is Pir Hassan Kabirdin's father. I have no idea how they are related to others, if they are. I find these things quite interesting.. Here are a few Pirs so you dont have to go looking..

Pir Sadardin
Pir Imaam Shaah
Pir Hasan Kabirdin
Pir Indra Imaamdin
Pir Indra Imam Shah
Pir Imaam Shaah
Pir Hassan Shaah
Pir Sat Gur Soho Dev
Pir Abdal Nabi
Pir Taajdin
Pir Saahebdin
Sayyed Mohammad Shaah
Sayed Imam Shaah
Sayyed Fateh Ali Shaah
Pir Miraa Sayyed Khaan
Sayyed Jalaal

Now, is Pir Shams also known as Pir Shamash? And also is he Pir Shamsh Sabzwari?? Thankkss!

And

What is the difference between a Sayyed && a Pir??

And who was Sayyed Fateh Ali Shaah?? I sing his Ginan, "Nar Nakalank Keri" all the time and if someone has background knowledge, that would be appreciated.. thankss!

Prince,
Your questions needs lots of time to give anwer, so I would suggest you to read one book name "PIR PADHARYA AAPNE DWAR 1-2" written by a well known missionary if you know the Gujarati language, this books are encyclopedia of our all 50 Pirs and will give you answer of your all questions.
You can also listen follwing waez which are available in Ismaili.net
1,History of Imam and Pirs waez # 634
2,History of Imam and Pirs waez # 635
3,Pir ki Batein waez #522
4,Pir ki Wadi waez # 0016
5,Pirs waez # 822
6,Pir waez # 837
7,Pir Sadrdin waez # 715
many other waez also contain stories of Pirs, History of Pirs, miracle done by pirs e.t.c.
Pir Shamsh and Pir Shamsh Sabjwari were different person.

Thanks, I looked the books I mentioned above and find out that there were THREE different persons whoes name were Shams and they all were contemporary:-
1, IMAM SHAMSHUDDIN ( ISMAILI IMAM)
2, PIR SHAMSH ( ISMAILI PIR)
3, SHAMSH TABREZ ( FOLLOWER OF MOWLANA RUMI)
Our pir Shams also called Sahmsh Sabzwari because he was born in Sabzwar, Iran. Thanks for correcting me.

He was the Murshid of Mowlana Rumi and not the follower.

THANKS FOR THE CORRECTION, BUT CAN YOU GIVE ME THE ENGLISH WORD OF "MURSHID"?
Are we not followers of MHI?
