Pledge #1: The Gift of Life The Most Noble Material Gift
Goal: 20 Thousand units of blood
In Tajikistan, Mowlana Hazar Imam quoted from the Holy Quran that if anyone saves a life, it shall be as though he had saved the lives of all mankind. In this spirit, the members and supporters of the Heritage web site at www.ismaili.net pledge, as a group, to dedicate to the Golden Jubilee of the Imam of the Time, a donation of 20,000 units of blood, in order to save lives.
This amounts to only one unit of blood per member, which you may donate at the hospital or organization of your choice, in the city of your choice. The pledge form allows each member (age 18 to 60 years) to pledge up to 4 units of blood [once every 6 months] before 11 July 2008.
Historical Fact - At Alamut, devoted ismailis regularly shed up to 10 units of their blood while putting their lives on the line for our Imam. Today we are not at war, and our Imam does not want our blood wasted in war. But He does want us to save lives. Fortunately, we can do this by donating one unit of blood at a time!
Give from your Heart. Give Blood. Save a life.

Pledge #2: The Gift of Prayer The Most Precious Spiritual Gift
Goal: 50 Million Salwats
In Kenya, Mowlana Hazar Imam quoted from the Holy Quran that Allah has created all mankind from one Soul. In this spirit, the members and supporters of the Heritage web site at www.ismaili.net make a spiritual pledge, on behalf of ismailis worldwide, to dedicate a further 50 million Salwats to the Imam of the Time for his Golden Jubilee.
In view of the extraordinary speed of pledges, and considering that many ismaili brethren have not been informed of this project yet, the pledge of Salwat has been increased to 50 million Salwats instead of the original 20 million which we reached in 20 days after the launch.
Faith Fact - Our Imam Aga Ali Shah once gave a parable of an angel with 1,000 hands with 1,000 fingers each. The task of this angel is to count the drops of rain. The Imam said that the benefit of Salwaat is such that even this angel is not able to count the blessings obtained by reciting 3 Salwats!
Give from your Soul. Give Salwaats. Save One Soul.
