He speaks about AKDN’s activities and some of Hazar Imam’s priorities over the past 65 years. This is a valuable opportunity to hear about Hazar Imam from someone who has been by his side for most of his life, and to gain a deeper understanding into Hazar Imam’s work across many decades.

President Al-Karim Alidina of the Ismaili Council for the USA welcomed guests to the luncheon hosted in downtown Houston, and expressed the Jamat’s gratitude to Mawlana Hazar Imam for establishing the first high-profile Center in the United States.

Posted August 13th, 2022 by librarian-hdPresident Al-Karim Alidina of the Ismaili Council for the USA welcomed guests to the luncheon hosted in downtown Houston, and expressed the Jamat’s gratitude to Mawlana Hazar Imam for establishing the first high-profile Center in the United States.
Soon after, guests were treated to an architectural flythrough video that offered a glimpse of what the newest Center and its gardens will look and feel like. The preview situated the Center among its surroundings and illustrated the scale of the venture.

Hazar Imam visited China in October 1981 1981-10-22
Mowlana Hazar Imam at the Great Mosque of Xian with the Imam of the Mosque. Mr. Mohamed Yunus. Immediately behind Hazar Imam are Prince Amyn and various Muslim participants of the sixth Internation Seminar of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture titled "Changing Rural Habitat" held in Beijing. Hazar Imam also visited the Great Wall of China, the Ming Tombs and the Forbidden City. A banquet was hosted in honour of Hazar Imam by the Architectural Society of China at Beijing's Great Hall of the People.

It is my great pleasure to welcome you today to the Aga Khan Museum’s Annual Lapis Digital Benefit. When we held this event last year, we could not have known that this year too, we would have to celebrate remotely, once again.
However, celebrate we will.
Despite all the many challenges of the past year, the Museum has achieved so much. I believe in fostering intercultural understanding and dialogue and all of that of course with the generous support of so many.

Birthday of Prince Amyn Muhammad 1937-09-12
Posted September 12th, 2021 by librarian-hdOur beloved Prince Amyn Muhammad was born in Geneva, Switzerland on September 9th 1937.
Like his elder brother, he attended the Institut Le Rosey and Harvard College. He graduated from Harvard in 1960 with an A.B. magna cum laude in literature and economics. He further pursued graduate studies in comparative literature at Harvard, receiving an A.M. in comparative literature in 1963 whilst also studying at the New England Conservatory.[2] During his studies he was additionally engaged as a graduate instructor in French.
