CONSTRUCTION of the 250MW Bujagali dam will start in June next year, an energy commissioner in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development has said.Eng Paul Mubiru said negotiations have been in progress, and the Government would sign the implementation and power purchase agreements with the Aga Khan consortium next month.
The Kenyan-based Promotion Services Ltd (PSL), which is part of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development, beat two other contenders to win the dam construction bid in May this year.
