Posted February 18th, 2022 by librarian-hdA Kenyan man suffering from erectile dysfunction has gone in for a penile implant procedure at a health facility.
The procedure was carried out at leading private hospital in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi to help resolve the man’s situation.
The Aga Khan University Hospital where the procedure took place said this was the first time such an operation had been carried out in East and central Africa.
The procedure was carried out on the 44-year-old man who according to doctors had been suffering from erectile dysfunction for a number of years.

Aga Khan Hospitals Get Sh290mn Grant From PROPARCO To Boost Healthcare Access 2022-02-15

The grant will benefit the Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi and the Aga Khan Hospitals in Mombasa, Kisumu and Dar-es-Salaam including ninety-four outreach and medical centres of the Aga Khan Health Services in Kenya and Tanzania.

The partnership will see members of the guild undergo training at the university while the institution of higher learning will gain professional insights from the media practitioners.
Talks to forge the partnership began three years ago when it emerged during a panel discussion that there was a disconnect between the academia and practising journalists.

The accreditation was granted by the Joint Commission International (JCI), the recognized global leader in health quality standards, following a rigorous Clinical Care Program Certification (CCPC) audit conducted in May 2021.

State receives Covid-19 testing kits worth Ksh 44m from Aga Khan 2021-04-07

The donation is financed by the German government through a grant offered by the German Development Bank (KFW) to AKUH,N and the Aga Khan Health Services, East Africa, to boost their Covid-19 response and support the public health system.

The offer, subject to regulatory approvals, will see the Germany based firm acquire a controlling stake of between 51 and 66 per cent in Jubilee’s General Insurance business Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi and Mauritius, forming Jubilee-Allianz General Insurance Limited.
JHL will retain ownership of its Life and Pensions operations and its Medical insurance business in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Top scorers have received admission call-ups to a number of prestigious universities including Yale and Cambridge. The students have further been offered over $7 million (Sh800 million) in university scholarships. The students attributed their success to hard work.

The hospital said the move will help it determine the best approach to care for its patients including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) during their admission.
