Failing city: Children return from school to grief-stricken parents 2015-05-13

The children of alAzhar Gardens, a gated community of Ismailis, who went to school on Wednesday morning had no idea they will be received by grief-stricken parents on their return.
Several parents were huddled near the community’s gates as the school vans started rolling in. But someone had already told the children about the tragedy and they jumped off the bus with looks of pure terror on their faces. “How many died?” a boy asked his mother.

The Minister of Antiquities, Mamdouh El Damaty, and the Governor of Cairo, Galal Said, joined His Highness the Aga Khan in marking the occasion at the Mosque.

Arusha. His Highness the Aga Khan yesterday stressed the need to strengthen the capacity of the East African Community (EAC) member countries in managing development projects.
He added that the region could make significant strides if member states collaborated more in implementing joint projects and programmes. The spiritual leader of Ismaili Muslims made the remarks in Arusha after signing a trilateral agreement between his Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), the German Development Bank (KFW) and the EAC for a health project.

Posted May 6th, 2012 by librarian-hdThe Aga Khan, head of the world's 15 million Ismaili Muslims, arrived at Fulton County Airport today to celebrate with his Georgia followers his 50th anniversary as their leader.
A band greeted him with the Ismaili anthem and the U.S. national anthem, and a representative from Gov. Sonny Perdue's office as well as local politicians were on hand to welcome him.
He will dine with Perdue and other guests at the Governor's Mansion Friday.

The Motion says: "The activities complained of are not infringing the rights of the Aga Khan, who it appears from the forged signatures, has not authorized this action."
