tame jaago kaany sutaa,
jaagi janpo to hari nit anate jai pocho 1

Eji Ardho janmaaro praanni taaro
ninddhraa maanhe jaae chhe,
vannare srevaae jiv taaro khann khann khutte 2

Eji Vikhnaa virodheaa praanni tun
din thi chuko,
ghaddie din jaataa vaar na laage 3

Eji Bhanne Pir Sadardin praanni
tame cheti-ne chaalo,
to vaaso vaikuntth didaar saaheb jino maalo 4

jaagee ja(m)po to haree neet anate jaee paho(n)cho...........1

Get rid of sleep o living ones, remain awake, for what reason do you sleep? While awake remember the name of the Lord, then you will reach the Lord everyday and in the company of the countless ones.

Shake off sleep, O being! And wake up. Why art thou (still)
asleep? Having woke up prayest if thou (early morning) to God,
thou shalt attain to the Lord, the Ever-Eternal. ...1

Half thy life, O being! Passeth in sleep.
Without serving (the Lord)
thy life shortened bit by bit. ...2

(Being) full of bane of enmity. O being! Thou hast gone astray
from religion. For the religion to disappear (from thy heart) it
does not take but a moment. ...3

O momins, Curb your sleep and awaken yourself

So that you can remember Him and achieve salvation ...1

O momins, You have wasted half of your life sleeping

And without serving (the Imam)

Your soul does not progress towards

its spiritual goal ...2

O momins, Your mind has led you astray

By making you pay more attention to materialism

But remember that time is passing by

(And you will soon not have much time left) ...3

Pir Sadardeen is requesting you to beware

So that you may be fortunate enough to achieve
