Aga Khan partners with EU to aid education crippled by COVID-19 2021-09-04

The fight against the coronavirus disease in Uganda has crippled the education sector, mainly early childhood development among others in relation to social and economic issues. Today, the Aga Khan development network, in partnership with European Union, have launched a 9.3 million euro East African regional fund to counter this challenge.

Under the banner "OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF THE AGA KHAN DEVELOPMENT NETWORK COVID-19 RESPONSE PROJECT" , Elizabeth Ongom the European Union Representative said "the project will work along three pillars - community resilience, health systems strengthening and youth health and livelihood in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda and Mozambique.
