The 79th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Industrial Promotion and Development Company of Bangladesh Limited (IPDC) was held in the city recently. AFM Sarwar Kamal, Secretary, Ministry of Industries, presided over the meeting.
IPDC's Directors and alternates from the Government of Bangladesh (GOB), International Finance Corporation (IFC), Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC), German Investment and Development Company (DEG) and Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED) attended the meeting.

The Board considered investments in various sub-sectors like sheet glass manufacturing, cold rolled coils manufacturing, chemicals, agro-industry, banking, metal engineering, food and allied products, RMG and textiles, IT and services.

The total investment amount approved is Tk 1184 million, including Tk 664 million as term loan, Tk 418 million as lease finance, and Tk 102 million as equity. ( The Independent )
