SAB GHATT SAAMEE MAARO BHARPUR BETTHAA
BY PEER SADARDEEN

ejee sab ghatt saamee maaro bharpur betthaa
tame gaafal dur ma dekho ek jeeyo jee jeere bhaai re.........1

O momins: In every heart (body, not necessarily human),
my Lord is seated entirely. O ignorant! do not consider Him
to be remote from you. He is indeed the only Glorious Lord, O brother.

ejee saache ku(n) saamee maaro hardam haajar
jem nenu maa(n)he putalee dekho - ek jeeyo...................2

O momins: Truthfully my Lord is present at every breath (always).
(And) In the manner in which the pupil is present in the eye.

ejee jem shashee-ar aakaashe cha(n)daa
tem kott kott ku(m)bh jal maa(n)he dekho ek jeeyo............3

O momins: Although the entire moon-bedecked sky is
illumined by one moon, it's reflection can be seen in numerous
containers of water. (Concept of the universe as the manifestation
of Allah - monorealism).

ejee shahetar deep me(n) shaah, peer deekhlaayaa
tame haajar lejo joi ek jeeyo................................4

O momins: Although from the exoteric (zaaheri) point of view,
the Peer has shown you the Imaam who resides physically in
the Arabian Peninsula; from the esoteric (baatin) point of view,
regard Him to be everpresent.

ejee dur nahi dekhaaddyaa jenne dur karee jaannyaa
tenaa kaaj na seedhaa koi ek jeeyo...........................5

O momins: You have not been shown the Lord as being far way
(by the Peer). Inspite of this, those who consider Him to be remote
will not attain success in whatever they do.

ejee karannee kamaavo tame khaase re ba(n)de
to aval ilaahee tere paas ek jeeyo...........................6

O momins: O slaves of the Lord! earn meritorious deeds in
a perfect and complete manner. Then your Lord who is
foremost (in every manner), will always be with you.

ejee treelok me(n) saamee maaro bharpur betthaa
jem fulumaa(n)he vaas peechhaanno ek jeeyo...................7

O momins: My Lord is omnipresent in the three regions
(viz, swarg = heavens, paatal = subterranean, dharti = earth),
just like the fragrance in relation to the flower.

ejee jem ful maa(n)he vaas teeu(n) moro saa(n)hiyaa
tame gaafal dur ma dekho ek jeeyo............................8

O momins: As is the fragrance in relation to the flower,
in the same manner my lord is present (in your hearts).

ejee sabghatt saamee maaro saabat karee jaanno
jem dudh maa(n)he garath peechhaanno ek jeeyo................9

O momins: Know with conviction that my Lord is omnipresent,
in the manner as is the relationship of'ghee' with milk.
(everything is essentially Divine in nature).

ejee sab ghatt saamee maaro haathe su(n) ne-addaa
ne sab ghatt bharpur betthaa ek jeeyo.......................10

O momins: My lord is nearer to every being than the hands,
and He is indeed omnipresent in every being.

ejee aval ilaahi tero paar na jaannu
ane peer ne parsaade moman paayaa ek jeeyo..................11

O Lord (Imaam)! You are foremost Divine (in your substance)
and I do not know your limits. Momins have this recognition
through the peers.

ejee cha(n)do ne suraj pavan ne paannee
mere gur samaa tol na koi ek jeeyo..........................12

O momins: The moon, the sun, the winds and the water;
all these cannot be compared in might to my Guide.

ejee satgur paaras ane munivar traa(m)baa ne
bhette to sovan hoy ek jeeyo................................13

O momins: The True Guide is like the philosopher's stone
and the followers are like copper. When the copper comes
into contact with the philosopher's stone, it becomes gold.
(momins become transformed when they come into contact with the Imaam).

ejee aa kaljug maa(n)he peer bot kilaave
pann tees thakee se(n)saa na mattejee ek jeeyo..............14

O momins: In the present age many individuals regard
themselves as the guides but one cannot obtain salvation
from worldly bondage through them.

ejee aal imaam kee peer karee jaanno
jethee bhav saagar tame chhutto ek jeeyo....................15

O momins: Regard the 'Peers' as the progeny of the Imaams.
It is due to the faith in this authority that you will overcome
the difficulties of crossing over the ocean of material existence.

ejee alakhvaddo shaah peere deekhlaayaa
so purakh paachhame alee aayaa ek jeeyo.....................16

O momins: The indescriptible Lord whom the 'Peer' has shown,
is indeed Alee who has manifested in the West in a complete manner.

ejee paachhame aayaa shaah paratak paayaa
tame moman saach peechhaanno ek jeeyo.......................17

O momins: The Lord who has taken birth in the West
is now manifestly known to you. O momins! regard Him as
the embodiment of the truth.

ejee dhartee nahotee aasamaan na hotaa
tees deen tu(n) ek ilaahee ek jeeyo.........................18

O momins: When there was neither the earth nor the heavens,
the Lord was the only principle that existed on that day.

ejee tisdeen peer saaheb jee ke paase
tame sunno maaraa moman bhaai jee ek jeeyo..................19

O momins: On that day the Peer was with the Lord (Imaam).
O my momins listen to this truth.

ejee pahele dha(n)dhukaar maa(n)he nabee muhammed mustaphaa
sohee guru ja(m)pudeep maa(n)he aayaa ek jeeyo..............20

O momins: In the beginning and in the void,
Prophet Muhammed the Chosen was there. It is indeed the same Guide
(Peer) who has come to the Indian Subcontinent.

ejee gurnar kero paar na jaannu
je peerne parsaade moman deetthaa ek jeeyo..................21

O momins: I know no bounds of the 'gurnar'
(Peer and Shaah= HaazarImaam), of whom the momins have
been blessed to recognise through the Peers.

ejee geenaan mahaaras peer bhannaave sadardeen
ame aagam kahine sunnaayaa ek jeeyo.........................22

O momins: This 'geenaan' which is full of Divine knowledge
and wisdom, is taught by Peer Sadardeen.
(O momins!) You have been told everything in advance.
