The Aga Khan residing in India, Burma and Ceylon as well as in Persian Gulf, Muscat and Central Asia celebrated the joint birthdays of His Highness, H.S.H. Prince Aly Khan and beloved Prince Sadruddin with great rejoicings and festivities on the 9th March 1940.

Bred in Ireland, Dalakhani was a pure product of the Aga Khan Studs operation, being a son of the Aga Khan's Prix du Jockey Club winner Darshaan out of the Miswaki, blue hen mare, Daltawa.

Posted December 25th, 2020 by librarian-hdPrince Hussain Aga Khan held a beautiful speech on the main stage during EAT Stockholm Food Forum 2019 to bring awareness to the endangered species living in our oceans. Since the age of five, he has been a fan of the ocean and everything connected to it.
At 14, Prince Hussain Aga Khan started scuba diving, and by exploring the deep wide blue he developed a keen interest in conservation. He started traveling to the tropics frequently at secondary school and began taking photographs of fauna and flora on a trip to the Brazilian Amazon in 1996.

Posted December 16th, 2020 by librarian-hdOn a clear day, with binoculars, you can look across lake Geneva from Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan's office to the towers of his seventh century Chateau Bellerive, at least you could until yesterday, when he resigned after 12 years as UN High Commissioner for Refugees. Outside are well-kept lawns, winding paths, splendid great evergreens. It all seems a million miles away from the squalor and misery one associates with the very word refugee.
