My Dear Captain,
On the occasion of the publication by H.S.H. Prince Aly S. Khan Garden Scouts Band of a souvenir marking the 50th Anniversary of the formation of the Band, I would like to send to all the members of the Garden Scouts Band My warmest congratulations and good wishes.
Your Band has done and continues to perform a most excellent service of which you may indeed be proud. I have noted with great pleasure that the Band formed originally in 1932, has consistently increased its scope of activities over the past 50 years and performs at a most commendable standard during official and unofficial functions.
Amongst the events which highlight the early years of the Band's past, the following occasions come to mind : The Band's first public appearance at the Diamond Jubilee celebrations in Bombay of the 48th Imam Mowlana Sultan Mohammed Shah, its appearance at the first All-India Muslim League Conference, the Greeting given to the First governor-general of Pakistan and also on the independence of Pakistan in 1947.
I hope that you will continue to be so industrious in your efforts and I wish you and the entire Band every success in the future.
With affectionate thoughts.
Amyn Mohammed Aga Khan
